The Perks of Shopping at Sephora

Like most girls, my absolute favorite make-up store is Sephora.  When I’m not shopping for MAC or drugstore brands, I can find everything else I need at Sephora.  Not only do I love their product selection but I love the way they treat their clients.  As a VIB (formerly a Beauty Insider), I earn points with every purchase I make.  When you reach 100 points (spend $100) you can choose a trial size product.  However, over the last few weeks I elected to not redeem my 100 point gifts, rather I saved up to 500 points before redeeming them.  When cashing in my 500 points this past weekend, I was rewarded with such a great treat!  The gift was a box set of  Smashbox’s top products - including mascara, lipgloss, BB cream, Bronzer and foundation primer.

Makeup Haul Highlights!

Now that it's 2013 it’s a great time to start fresh, and what better way to do so than by investing in new makeup? I’ve been eyeing some makeup products for a while now and I finally decided to purchase them in the hopes of finding new favorites to add to my collection. I found so many goodies that the best way to share them is through a haul which is now available on our youtube channel (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YETGQIiCzMQ). In the meantime, below are some highlights to enjoy...

As a newcomer to eyebrow enhancements I purchased the Revlon Brow Fantasy pencil and gel duo in light brown. Once you finish filling in your brows with the pencil (using light, small and gentle stokes) use the gel to set them in place.

Eyeshadow priming is essential to any makeup look so its important to find one that actually works. This is my second time purchasing the Revlon Photo Ready eye primer and I love it! Not only does this product last all day, but when used on my under eyes, it adds a subtle highlight. 

In the hopes of finding a new go-to lip color I decided to experiment with blue-toned and magenta colors. I found the best combination by using a Revlon Just Bitten Kissable lip stain in the color Darling, and a Revlon lip gloss in the color Lilac Pastelle.
