Happy Halloween!

A freak snow storm this past Saturday made me forget all about Halloween and focus on the Christmas season!  A trip to Bath and Body Works helped me stock up on the fall and early winter 2011 candles.  My favorites of the moment are Hot Chocolate, Cranberry Woods and Mint Chocolate.

H is for Hermes

My favorite accessory is the Hermes belt my boyfriend gave me for my birthday last month.  The classic piece transforms any outfit and makes a statement.  However, my absolute favorite thing about the belt is that it is reversible – chocolate brown on one side and black on the other.

Hello!

In the seventh grade I read an interview with former Will & Grace star, Debra Messing.  When asked to provide advice to her fans, she replied with ‘Do what makes you happy and when you’re no longer happy make a change.’  As a pre-teen I thought it was overly simplistic and not a truly revolutionary thought.  It was hard for me to comprehend why someone wouldn’t follow their dreams and do what brings them joy.  However, as the past 13 years have come and gone, I see how easy it is to fall into a routine and neglect the activities that one thoroughly enjoys.

After years of sharing my true passions with my sister - fashion, design, architecture, food and art - we decided that it was time we expand our network and start a blog.  Thus, on October 31, 2011 Sugar Eyeliner was born.
